How We Got Started
Hello, I'm Kimberly, the founder of The Legacy Connection.
For most of my career, I worked as a medical social worker, helping families through some of life’s most difficult seasons — critical illnesses, aging parents, and end-of-life care. I saw what happened when families were unprepared, not just emotionally but financially. I saw the stress, the confusion, and the regret that often followed.
Then it became personal. I lost my father and my mother-in-law within the same year. Despite all my professional experience, I still wasn’t fully prepared for the weight that came with it. It was a turning point. I realized that planning ahead isn’t just about paperwork — it’s about protecting the people we love.
That’s why I started The Legacy Connection.
What began as a way to help families organize their affairs has grown into something much broader. Today, I help individuals, families, and business owners create financial strategies that offer real security — now and into retirement.
Along the way, I’ve worked with people who’ve spent decades working hard, raising families, and building their lives — only to realize they aren’t financially prepared to retire when they’d hoped.
